Summer Horseback Riding Camp 2017
A fun and educational way to spend your Summer!

The YMCA in Cambridge bus in campers for some weeks (mornings only). Please contact them for details.
Activities: Camp includes a full day of equestrian activities. Activities are geared to the level of the student - Beginner to Intermediate. Here is a partial list of activities – actual activities are chosen based on the ages and skill levels of the students:
- Daily horseback riding with instruction designed for the level of the student.
- Stable management, horse care, grooming, tacking, feeding.
- Bandaging, show preparation, course design and other instruction for the more advanced students.
- Learning about safety around horses and proper handling of the horses and ponies.
- Crafts and games.
Our program is horses, horses, horses and ponies, ponies, ponies!
Children ages: Girls and boys, ages 7 - 14. Session is limited to 10 campers.
No experience necessary.
Beginners will learn confidence, basic equitation and control of their horses.
More advanced students will continue improving their skills.
Proper Riding helmets can be borrowed. No charge.
Supervision: There is at least 1:3 helper/camper ratio. Councillors and coaches are adults. Our camp is known for being very safety conscious. Early drop-off and late pickup can be arranged. No charge.
Summer Day Camp Cost: $350 plus $45.50 HST = $399.50. Payment due at time of registration. Please call or email Leslie to book. July 4th is $316.40. Single days ($85) and half days ($50) may also be available.
